Chief Master Sergeant KRISTIN L. THOMPSON

Chief Master Sgt. Kristin L. Thompson currently serves as the Senior Enlisted Leader for the 42nd Force Support Squadron, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. In this capacity, she provides oversight of vital mission support functions through manpower and personnel, services sustainment, force development, Airman and family services, community services along with mortuary affairs, honor guard, and installation readiness. She is also the personnel program advisor to 30 senior raters, 14 wing equivalents, five general officers, 111 colonels, 63 commanders, and three command chiefs. Additionally, she oversees the training and mentorship of the 88 Air Force personnel and 15 unit program managers assigned to the installation.

Chief Master Sgt. Thompson enlisted in the Air Force in 1996, as a services apprentice. Her background includes various duties within services and force support at the unit and field operating agency levels. Her other areas of responsibility include, food service shift leader, food service accountant, lodging front desk supervisor, lodging operations training manager, mortuary technician, unit deployment manager, Air Force services center readiness manager, Air Expeditionary force support deployment scheduler, and Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center Force Support Readiness functional manager. Her assignments include bases in Wyoming, North Carolina, South Korea, Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Alaska, North Dakota and Oklahoma.
