Master Sergeant MATTHEW R. WEBER

Master Sgt. Matthew R. Weber is the senior enlisted leader for the 42nd Civil Engineer Squadron, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.  In this position, he advises the Installation’s Civil Engineer Director on readiness, health, morale, welfare, and the effective utilization of 105 Airmen and civilians executing emergency response, maintenance, repair, and capital improvement of a 3,000-acre area of responsibility at two geographically separated locations supporting 42,000 active-duty, reserve, civilian and contract personnel, students, and families in direct support of Air University, the 908th Airlift Wing, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Space Command units, the Defense Information Systems Agency and more than 45 mission partners. 

Sergeant Weber was born in Seoul, South Korea and raised near Los Angeles, CA.  He joined the Air Force in 2007 and graduated from the Louis F. Garland Fire Academy at Goodfellow AFB, Texas.  His background includes operational and leadership positions within the Fire Protection career field, and he served in a Developmental Special Duty as a Professional Military Education Instructor at Kisling Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Germany from 2017 to 2023.  His assignments include bases in California, Germany, Honduras, Maryland, and Alabama, as well as deployments in support of Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, And Inherant Resolve.  Prior to assuming his current position, he was the assistant fire chief for operations, Joint Base Andrews, Maryland.
