Master Sergeant LIDIA HARLEY

Master Sgt. Lidia Harley is the Senior Enlisted Leader, 42nd Operational Medical Readiness Squadron, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala. In this capacity, she provides oversight on management, readiness, and career advisement for 138 active duty and civilian professionals. She is responsible for integrating a diverse spectrum of preventive health and aerospace medicine programs across Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base to include Air University, two wings, 44 mission partners, and 39,000 beneficiaries. Her squadron executes a $2 million annual budget and $14 million dollar workload, encompassing operations in seven distinct flights: Aerospace & Operational Medicine, Bioenvironmental Engineering, Dental, Mental Health, Optometry, Physical Therapy, and Public Health.

Master Sgt. Harley entered active-duty military service in September 2003. She attended Dental Assistant Apprentice technical training at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas and graduated in January 2004.  In 2007, she deployed to Honduras as a linguist for the 59th Medical Group’s Pediatric Mission which supported the United States initiative in Central, South America, and the Caribbean. In 2019, she served as the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) testing lead for the 48th Dental Squadron which supported three wings and five Royal Air Force bases. Additionally, she has served numerous dental assistant and leadership positions throughout her career.  Prior to her current position, Master Sgt. Harley was the Dental Flight Chief for the Maxwell Air Force Base dental clinic.
