The Maxwell-Gunter Top III have assembled the Total Force Development Team in order to provide mentorship and leadership development opportunities for the local Air Force community.

Several courses have been scheduled take place over the next couple of months on both Maxwell and Gunter Annex, which are available to civilians and Airmen of all ranks.

“Our main goal is to teach at least three to four courses a month,” said Senior Master Sgt. Jovel Green, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Logistics Readiness Branch superintendent. “We want to have at least 5,000 attendees for 2018.”

Green mentioned a popular and upcoming public speaking/facilitator course. Not only is this course geared to help people who want to become Sexual Assault Response Coordinator and Green Dot facilitators, it also gives people the tools they need to conquer one of the most common fears: public speaking.

In addition to the public speaking course, the TFDC has scheduled courses covering full-range leadership development, team communication/leadership, 360 degree leadership, time management, planning skills and more spread out over the next couple months.

One unique opportunity is the “You Stink” crash course. This course is designed to help inform leaders how to properly handle tough topics such as hygiene, dress and appearance, unprofessional relationships, depression and suicide.

“The biggest message we want to put out there it that this is not just for military,” Green said. “Civilians, officers and airman basics to chiefs are more than welcome to attend. The content we are delivering is food for leadership and followership. If you feel like you’re done growing, then you’re putting a cap on your potential.”
