Financial Management provides the entire spectrum of financial management services for Maxwell/Gunter. The Director acts as an advisor on financial matters to the Air University Commander and directs the preparation, execution, and analysis of AU programs for resource allocation. The directorate also provides financial and pay services to military and civilian personnel. Further, employees serve as focal points for the interpretation of accounting regulations and the reporting of accounting and statistical data to higher headquarters. They also provide nonappropriated funds (NAF) oversight, and accounting liaison services with Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) Center - Limestone, ME.
