The Joint Hometown News Service program is a directorate of the Defense Media Activity and distributes more than 500,000 news releases to over 14,000 media outlets across the nation and in U.S. territories each year. The JHNS, formerly known as the Army and Air Force Hometown News Service, produces a variety of print and electronic news products highlighting the accomplishments and worldwide activities of individual soldiers and airmen. You can visit their Web site here.

Air Force members can also submit a hometown news release to highlight their professional accomplishments and milestones.

To submit a DD Form 2266 Hometown News Release, click here.

Use the code: D16 for the PAO block on the form. If you have any further questions, please contact Air University Public Affairs at 953-2014.
