River Region mayors proclaim Military Appreciation Week

MAXWELL AIR FORCE BASE, Ala. - Media are invited to cover the signing of a proclamation declaring the week of Nov. 8 as Military Appreciation Week in the River Region. At least five mayors from across the area plan to converge here Nov. 8 for the ceremony.
The mayors of Montgomery, Prattville, Tallassee, Wetumpka and Pike Road are scheduled to make the presentation to area military leadership, including the Air University commander, Alabama National Guard adjutant general, 42nd Air Base Wing commander and others.
