This definitely shows a disregard for initiative and hard work. Is that the message we really want to broadcast I would hope the powers that be would take another look at this decision.

Well for the first time ever my procrastination has actually paid off. Enrolled in version 5 three years and did absolutely nothing with it. Time to get started on the new one

Absolutely agree that this is not fair to those who took the initiative to complete course 14 early and will now have to retake it. I think this policy needs a definite relook and those who completed version 5 should be grandfathered in.

Paragraph 5 is going to be a big deterrent for ReserveGuard folks to attend SNCOA in-res I would think. For people who complete version 5 and want to attend in-res they will likely just not attend. Seems counter-productive for total force and what not.

I hope that the right decision will be made on this issue. This undermines the initiative of those who put in work to get this done. It will be a huge waste of time and money.

I confirmed the relevance of the concerns you all bring up. Yes those scheduled to attend SNCOA after April 14 will have to complete V6 prior to attending. Yes that means almost all eligible MSgts will need to complete V6. It will be important for MSgts enrolled in V5 to complete it prior to 30 Sept to be SRE for this promotion cycle. Then they will have to reaccomplish V6 prior to attending SNCOA in-residence.

This is a great way to reward those TSgt's that showed the initiative to complete Course 14 at the earliest time possible. Here's your prize Do it again Please tell me we have enough common sense to grandfather version 5 folks in

Having somebody re-accomplish a completed level of PME because a curriculum change occurred after completion doesn't pass the logic test. Is Rafferty's comment on this accurate If it is virtually everybody who gets picked up on the next E-8 cycle is going to have to re-do Course 14.

So based off the fifth paragraph there is no reason to complete version 5 as you will have to complete version 6 to attend the SNCOA anyways after April 2014. Seems like a waste to tell people to finish version 5.
