Feds feed families

A Maxwell Air Force Base Airman donates to Feds Feed Families, a government initiative that accepts donations of food for families in need. Donations will be accepted at the Maxwell Air Force Base and Gunter Annex’s Commissaries until early August. Over the past three years, the national program has collected more than 8 million pounds of food and non-perishable items for needy Americans. Making Maxwell beautiful

Local contractors prepare to pave the Maxwell commissary parking lot June 19, 2012. The eco-friendly concrete mixture is expected to last approximately 20 years and withstand the River Region’s hot temperatures and high humidity. The project is expected to be completed within three weeks and will cover approximately 250,000 square feet between the Base Exchange and the Maxwell Commissary. Crowds of Eagles

Retired U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Greenhouse offers free plants

Jane McCarthy, Maxwell's greenhouse director, oversees plants, lawns and foilage at Maxwell and offers leftover or rescued plants to those with base access.
