At the Maxwell Air Park, (clockwise from top) A B-52 Stratofortress lines the west side of the park. The B-52 is the only aircraft in the park that was flown to Maxwell. Then-Air University Commander Lt. Gen. Charles Cleveland speaks at the public dedication ceremony of the park July 7, 1983. General Cleveland stands before the “Chris Craft” F-86A Sabre 15 years after its dedication. The “Chris Craft,” named after General Cleveland’s son, was the aircraft he used to shoot down five MiG-15s during the Korean War.
