Donald Ralph, mobilization assistant to the commander, U.S. Air Forces Europe-U.S. Air Forces Africa, was the keynote speaker at the African Airmen Alumni Symposium at Air University’s Air War College June 11-13. The symposium, sponsored by U.S. Air Forces Africa, brought together 39 African officers from 16 countries to Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala., to discuss regional challenges, strengthen key partnerships and encourage strategic thinking and airpower advocacy. Gathering of Eagles
Former WWII fighter pilot and prisoner of war, air show performer and test pilot Robert Hoover visits with Dr. Bruce Murphy, the Air University vice president of academic affairs, and Lt. Gen. David Fadok, commander and president of the Air University, June 6 at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala. Hoover was one of 15 ‘Eagles’ at this year’s Gathering of Eagles, Air Command and Staff College’s capstone event that recognizes aviation greats and military members who have made great contributions in service of the nation.
