OTS celebrates its 50th anniversary
Jubilant graduates from a recent class of the Holm Center Officer Traning School throw their caps into the air. Today OTS begins a three-day clebration of its 50th anniversary.A retreat ceremony honoring alumni who were killed or missing in action takes place today at 4 p.m and a 5K run takes place Saturday at 7 a.m. The run is open to valid military ID holders and their dependents; a golf tournament follows at 8 a.m. at the Maxwell courses. Coggin, an instructor at the Eaker Center for Professional Development's Defense Financial Management and Comptroller School, 'retires' his deployment flag during a ceremony Oct. 27 here. Colonel Coggin recently returned from a deployment as the Multi-National Corps-Iraq deputy comptroller where he taught a modified version of the Defense Decision Support Course to Iraqi and American staff officers.
