Tax centers open at Maxwell Air Force Base and Gunter Annex, Alabama, Feb. 3, 2025.

Tax centers open at Maxwell Air Force Base and Gunter Annex, Alabama, Feb. 3, 2025. Both tax centers will provide free tax assistance to eligible military personnel and their families. With the help of trained tax professionals, individuals can rest assured that their tax returns will be accurately prepared and filed on time. As the tax filing season approaches, Maxwell's tax centers are gearing up to provide free assistance to military ID card holders, including active duty, guard, reserve, military retirees, and dependents. With a filing deadline of April 15, 2025, the tax centers will be open to help eligible individuals navigate the complexities of tax preparation. 

The Maxwell Tax Center, located in building 804, will open its doors on February 3 and operate Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until April 18. To schedule an appointment or inquire about services, individuals can call (334)-953-3529. 

In addition to the Maxwell Tax Center, a second location will be available at the Gunter Annex Tax Center, located in building 892. This center will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and non-registered day off Fridays by appointment only, from February 4 to April 15. Appointments can be scheduled by calling (334)-416-5055. 

Both tax centers will provide free tax assistance to eligible military personnel and their families. With the help of trained tax professionals, individuals can rest assured that their tax returns will be accurately prepared and filed on time.
