The City of Montgomery and Montgomery Area Transit System began the Entertainment Express trolley service to Maxwell, Thursday.

The Entertainment Express service runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and allows base members to take part in entertainment and eating opportunities in downtown Montgomery and the Old Cloverdale district of the city.

The move to offer the service to downtown residents and Maxwell members comes from Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange and the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce. Entertainment Express allows riders to arrive at their destination quickly and safely.

Cost for rides is $1 each way. Passengers are expected to abide by base entry rules, including identification card checks, before entering the base. Visitors are required to get a base pass.
