International Officer School graduates 126 international military students

Air University’s International Officer School graduated 46 international military students, July 7, 2022, destined for follow-on attendance at Air War College. In all, IOS graduated 126 IMS this summer from its preparatory courses, with the other 86 graduates attending Air Command and Staff College. All 126 students have already been identified as future senior leaders and approximately 10% will go on to serve as air chiefs or higher in the respective countries. Air University’s International Officer School graduated 80 international military students, July 21, 2022, destined for follow-on attendance at Air Command and Staff College. In all, IOS graduated 126 IMS this summer from its preparatory courses, with the other 40 graduates attending Air War College. All these students have already been identified as future senior leaders and approximately 10% will go on to serve as air chiefs or higher in their respective countries. Air University officer, enlisted alumni inducted into CSAF, CMSAF International Honor Roll

Air University puts the ‘E’ in AETC

The Air Force instituted the Allied Officer Preparatory Phase Course to help international officers adjust to Air University programs in 1954. Allied officers have been attending AU since 1946. Several name changes later, it was given its current name of International Officer School in 1985. Since 1954, more than 11,000 international military students from 143 countries have graduated from IOS preparatory courses.
