Terence D. Henderson

Terence D. Henderson is Director of Staff for the 42nd Air Base Wing. In this capacity, he assists the wing commander with executive leadership and management for 2,200 wing personnel across two groups and wing staff. He ensures support and services for more than 42,000 active duty, Reserve, Guard, civilian, and contractor personnel, students and families assigned to Maxwell Air Force Base and Gunter Annex in direct support of Air University, 908th Airlift Wing, Air Force Space Command and Air Force Materiel Command units, Defense Information Systems Agency and more than 40 other mission partners. 

Henderson entered the Air Force in October 1985 after graduating high school. He completed technical training in Aerospace Ground Equipment Maintenance in 1986. During his operational tours, he served as a test director for aircraft maintenance on the C-17A Initial and Follow-on Operational Test and Evaluation Teams. After his operational tours, he served as an enlisted professional military education instructor and superintendent of educational policy, plans and programs for the College of Enlisted Professional Military Education. Prior to his current position, Henderson was the installation real property and real estate program manager for the 42nd Civil Engineering Squadron where he oversaw $6.6B in real property assets Maxwell Air Force and Gunter-Annex. He also serves as the installation’s Air Force One advance agent liaison and directs local installation support, logistics and security in support of the White House and Department of Defense Advance Teams. He was a senior aircraft maintenance production supervisor with more than 300 flying hours in the C-17A.
