The 2026 AICUZ Study for Maxwell Air Force Base is an update of the installation’s 2009 study. The Air Force initiated the update to include changes to the mission at Maxwell AFB, namely the shift from the C-130 to the MH-139 as the primary operation aircraft at the installation. It is a reevaluation of the installation’s operation noise and safety zones. The Air Force provides this AUCIZ study to aid in the development of local planning mechanisms that will protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public, as well as preserve the operational capabilities of Maxwell AFB.
