EDIS open house
Neirissa Keeler speaks with a parent during an EDIS Program open house at the Maxwell AFB Clinic Oct. 21, 2016. EDIS stands for educational and developmental intervention services. Keeler, an early childhood special educator and EDIS element chief, offers developmental screening for any child with access to the Maxwell Clinic. Her element can offer advice, support and learning material for those who are missing some developmental milestones, and can also offer parents support on general topics ranging from potty training to helping with picky eating for any child. Keeler recommends all parents have their children screened before age 2. (U.S. Air Force photo by SrA William Blankenship)
