Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala. -- Maxwell is holding an AICUZ public open house on July 8, 2026, at Montgomery Whitewater from 4-6 p.m. The open house will provide community members with an update to the Air Installations Compatible Use Zones, or AICUZ, study.
The 2026 AICUZ study includes the latest information with respect to not only the noise and safety environment but also land uses and development around the installation. The study is an update to the 2009 study.
The goal of the AICUZ Program is to protect the health, safety, and welfare of those living and working near air installations while sustaining the military’s operational mission. To accomplish this goal, the Air Force provides an AICUZ study to aid in development of local planning mechanisms that will protect the public safety and health, as well as preserve the operational capabilities of Maxwell.
During the Open House, the public will have an opportunity to ask Air Force representatives questions about the AICUZ Program.
Montgomery Whitewater is at 1100 Maxwell Blvd., Montgomery, Ala.
Additional information about the AICUZ study can be found on Maxwell’s website at https://www.maxwell.af.mil/Custom-Articles/Category/24754/.
