Remembering British, French war dead
Maxwell and Gunter officials joined international officers Sunday at Montgomery’s Oakwood Cemetery for the annual Service of Remembrance for British and French war dead. Eighty members of the Royal Air Force along with 20 French airmen are buried in Oakwood Cemetery. They died in training accidents while undergoing flight training at Maxwell and Gunter during World War II. Chief Warrant Officer Gabriel Chartier (left) and Lt. Col.
