Astronauts train at Maxwell

Mark Vande-hei, an astronaut from the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, shimmies across a pole as part of a training event at the Squadron Officer College Project X leadership reaction course on Maxwell Air Force Base, March 4th. Vande-hei is a member of a group of six American and international astronauts who participated in the LRC to hone their communication and teamwork skills. In addition to training in many NASA and international training facilities, Maxwell provides the astronaut with different scenarios and different ways of meeting core leadership training requirements.
