Staff Sgt. Rey Edenfield, a Maxwell Air Force Base air traffic controller, plays catch with his son, Dawson, in the backyard of their family home Aug. 28. Edenfield was involved in a motorcycle accident that resulted in the family decision to amputate his left leg six inches below the knee.
