U.S. and Royal Air Force officers commemorate the Battle of Britain
A piano goes up in flames during the celebration to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain Sept. 11, 2015, at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. Piano burning started as a Royal Air Force between World War I and World War II. Although the history of its origin is unclear, it is often used to commemorate the Battle of Britain or a fallen comrade. (U.S. Air Force photo Airman 1st Class Alexa Culbert/Cleared)
