35th Annual Gathering of Eagles
Former Women Airforce Service Pilot Dawn Seymour and Maj. Rachel Hamlyn, an Air Command and Staff College student, share a laugh before the start of the Gathering of Eagles event May 31, 2016, at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. The annual GoE event brings aviation legends to ACSC so they can share their experiences and life lessons with students and faculty. The school's capstone event traces its start to 1980, when retired Brig. Gen. Paul Tibbets was invited to share his flying experiences with ACSC students. Seymour joined the WASP program in 1943 and was one of only 17 women selected to train on the four-engine B-17. (U.S. Air Force by Melanie Rodgers Cox)
