42nd Security Forces fold flag

Senior Airman Timothy Bridges and Airman 1st Class Olivia Landry fold the U.S. flag at the memorial service for retired Chief Master Sgt. Billy Weathington in Newville, Alabama, Jan. 13, 2018. Weathington, age 87 at his passing on Jan. 1, 2018, was the security forces career field’s third chief master sergeant, ending his 27-year active duty career in 1979 as the senior enlisted advisor to Air Force Security Forces. He continued to serve as the director of Plans and Security Acquisitions, U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1990. The folded U.S. flag was presented to Weathington’s wife of 67 years, Christine. Joining Bridges and Landry in the 42nd SFS flag detail at the memorial service were Staff Sgt. Mitchell Wright and Senior Master Sgt. Jeffrey Tobin. (Courtesy photo)
