2019 National Drill Competition

John Jay Silver Eagles from Jay High School in San Antonio stand together after winning their fourth national title in five years at the National High School Drill Team Competition, May 3-5, 2019, at Daytona Beach, Fla. The competition was a three-day event where 68 Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps drill teams from all services compete against one another for titles in more than 50 events. U.S. Army Maj. Gen. John R. Evans Jr., Army Cadet Command commander, presented the Silver Eagles’ trophy during the award ceremony. In total, John Jay High School took home 22 trophies from the competition.
