Never Forget: Capt. Hanna Born runs 2,977 miles to honor 9/11 victims

U.S. Air Force Capt. Hanna Born, 23rd Flying Training Squadron instructor pilot, waves the "Flag of Honor" while completing a portion of her 2,977-mile run goal in O’ahu, Hawaii. The flag is inscribed with the names of all 2,977 victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. The race is part of Born’s "Run to Remember 2,977" mission, a personal commitment to run 2,977 miles, one mile for every life lost, to ensure the next generation continues to honor our nation’s promise to Never Forget.
