U.S. Air Force Capt. Hanna Born, 23rd Flying Training Squadron instructor pilot, carries the "Flag of Honor" during the 2025 Army Ten-Miler in Washington, D.C., Oct. 12, 2025. The flag is inscribed with the names of all 2,977 victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. The race is part of Born’s "Run to Remember 2,977" mission, a personal commitment to run 2,977 miles, one mile for every life lost, to ensure the next generation continues to honor our nation’s promise to Never Forget.
