LEAP Scholars bring unifying effort to massive CENTAM Guardian exercise
LEAP Scholar Master Sgt. Elio De Los Santos (center) interprets for El Salvador’s Army Colonel Ramon A. Soriano (left), Combined Joint Task Force Commander for the CENTAM Guardian 26 exercise, and U.S. Army Maj. Jon Neidig, who acted as the U.S. Commander for the CJTF and was an advisor for Col Soriano throughout the exercise. CENTAM Guardian was a multinational exercise focused on Central American security hosted by El Salvador. U.S. military forces joined counterparts from participating Central American nations for training designed to build humanitarian assistance/disaster response functional capacity, enhance readiness to combat common threats in Central America, and promote cooperation and interoperability between participating forces.
