    The process used by the Air Force to acquire software is archaic and needs to modernize now if the service is to win in a peer-to-peer conflict, said Secretary of the Air Force Heather Wilson. The secretary made those observations and gave a glimpse into the future of software acquisition during her keynote presentation Aug. 27 at the Air Force Information Technology and Cyberpower Conference in Montgomery, Alabama.

The award recognizes Air University students, cadets, faculty and staff who exhibit exemplary leadership, character and ethical behavior in the educational environment. These are the most prestigious award opportunities for Air University Airmen and the competition in each category was intense.

  • Air Force to institute new method to protect PII

    Air Force officials announced Feb. 6, 2018, emails containing personally identifiable information, and similar numeric constructs, will be blocked from transmission unless the email is encrypted. For members unable to send or receive encrypted emails, members will be directed to utilize the AMRDEC SAFE application.
