Air University Press announces the release of the Summer 2018 Air and Space Power Journal.

In this issue, Lt. Gen. David “D.T.” Thompson, vice commander, Air Force Space Command, speaks to the use of the space domain for national defense and protecting and defending space capabilities. “The Coming Revolution in Military Space Professionalism” extends this discussion by describing recent events that will allow the space cadre to “produce the military space professionals the nation needs.”

Other features address recommendations for identifying, assessing and developing officers for senior leadership and the role of ballistic missiles in future nuclear forces.

In the Views section, authors explore the use of auxiliary forces to accomplish strategic objectives and strategic foresight methods in the public and private sectors. Selected Schriever Essays on cyber war and deterrence and on space situational awareness round out the issue.

ASPJ is designed to serve as an open forum for the presentation and stimulation of innovative thinking on military doctrine, strategy, force structure, readiness and other matters of national defense.
