Maxwell AFB to conduct emergency response exercise August 27

The 42nd Air Base Wing will conduct an emergency response exercise the morning of August 27, 2025 on Maxwell Air Force Base.

This exercise is designed to enhance the readiness and capabilities of base emergency responders in the event of a real-world crisis.

During the exercise, the public in the vicinity of Maxwell AFB may experience:

Increased Noise: This may include sirens and sounds from emergency vehicles.

Increased Activity: Expect to see a higher volume of emergency vehicles responding in the area.

Visible Smoke: Smoke may be visible near the fire training area adjacent to the airfield.

The designated training area will be closed to all base personnel not participating in the exercise. No other significant disruptions to normal base operations are anticipated.

This is an EXERCISE. In the event of a real-world emergency, the exercise will be terminated, and the base community will be notified via official Maxwell Air Force Base communication channels.
