    United States Marine Corps Lt. Col. James C. Paxton III is currently serving as the commanding officer of Marine Corps Air Station Yuma Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron (nicknamed the “Guardians”) in Yuma, Arizona.  He is a naval aviator who flew F/A-18C and KC-130J aircraft, and now flies the UC-12F.  He attended TOPGUN in 2007, and was designated a strike fighter tactics instructor.
