Senior Master Sergeant MELISSA G. NAVARRO

Senior Master Sgt. Melissa Navarro serves as the Senior Enlisted Leader, Healthcare Operations Squadron, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. She advises the commander on the force management, training, readiness, and morale for 160 personnel which span over six flights and 19 Air Force Specialty Codes. Sergeant Navarro assists the commander in ensuring provision of comprehensive healthcare services in family health, pediatrics, pharmacy, diagnostics/therapeutics, logistics, and resource management for a 330-personnel outpatient care clinic. She executes a $25.4M annual budget promoting population and evidence-based healthcare for 37K beneficiaries, the 42nd Air Base Wing, Air University and 44 mission partners.

Sergeant Navarro entered the Air Force on June 2003. She graduated Information Management Technical Training School in September of 2003 and Health Services Management Technical Training School on October 2009. She has been stationed at various locations including Alaska, California, Maryland and Utah. Prior to assuming her current position, she served as the superintendent, Transportation Command Patient Movement Requirements Center West, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, 75th Medical Support Squadron, 75th Medical Group, Hill Air Force Base, Utah. Her career duties include client support administrator, unit deployment manager and additional duty first sergeant.
