Senior Master Sgt. Julius McCray III is the senior enlisted leader of Wing Staff Agencies at 42nd Air Base Wing, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. He is the principal advisor to the commander providing leadership, management, and guidance in organizing, equipping, training, and mobilizing the enlisted force to meet home station and expeditionary mission requirements. He is the senior advisor for 115 airmen and civilian personnel across 35 Air Force specialty codes.
Senior Master Sgt. McCray entered the Air Force in October 2003 as a comptroller and financial management apprentice. His assignments include various stateside and overseas locations and a special duty. During his 20-year career, he has supported Operations Enduring Freedom and Inherent Resolve. Prior to this assignment, Senior Master Sgt. McCray was the flight chief, Financial Operations Flight, 355th Comptroller Squadron, Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ.
