  • Airmen support local community in honoring Alabama veterans

    Airmen from Air University's Squadron Officer School traveled to the Alabama National Cemetery to help the local community honor the state's fallen veterans as a part of Wreaths Across America, Dec. 14, 2018, in Montevallo, Alabama. Wreaths Across America is a national organization that through the donations from sponsors, ships holiday wreaths to cemeteries from across the country to place on the graves of our nation’s heroes. The Airmen worked alongside other civilian volunteers and the Alabama National Cemetery Support Committee to unload and sort over 600 boxes of wreaths that were later distributed to various locations in the cemetery for the ceremony that Saturday.
