  • Richardson takes command of 42nd Air Base Wing

    Richardson received his commission in 1998 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at South Dakota State University. He serviced in a variety of assignments at major command, forward operating agency, secretariat, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, combatant command, and Joint Staff levels.

  • AETC command team visits Maxwell

  • Tullos returns to Maxwell to command Air University

    A career security forces officer, Tullos received her commission in 1992 through Officer Training School at Maxwell. She served as the commander of Maxwell’s 42nd Air Base Wing from May 2014 to June 2016.

  • New honorary commanders inducted at 42nd Air Base Wing

    The 42nd ABW Honorary Commander’s Program connects leaders within the community to wing commanders to provide an opportunity to learn more about the base’s mission and strengthen relationships between the base and local communities.

    General James Hecker took command of U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa and NATO Allied Air Command on June 27, 2022, with Europe facing challenges brought on by Russia’s invasion of the Ukraine.
